Tampa Florida premier fishing charter, Megabite Charters, runs from the Merry Pier, at the southernmost tip of St Peter Beach near Tampa, Florida. We are only two minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, so no time is wasted traveling the Intercoastal waterway on the way to the fishing grounds.
Owned and operated by Capt. George Roux, a lifelong resident of Tampa and St. Pete area, with over 50 years experience fishing Gulf and Caribbean waters, Megabite Sportfishing Charters offers clean, fast, comfortable boats for virtually every budget.
Our safety record is impeccable, and all boats meet or exceed USCG requirements. Capt George has held a 100 ton USCG Masters license for over 34 years, and has operated boats up to 120’ for over 3000 accident free fishing trips.
As a single dad with a 5 year old son, Capt George welcomes children of all ages on his trips. No experience is necessary, and we are always happy to assist beginners. If seasickness is a concern, we can often target fish in the calmer waters of Tampa Bay
